Cat Station, my orginal business, began in 2005 when I was selling my crafts at cat shows and various craft events. It soon became apparent that while this was a great way to make friends, it was not going to make any money. Also, it was hard physical work that eventually became too much for me to handle.
In the fall of 2007 I discovered digital scrapbooking and fell in love. It was a great way to combine my computer skills with my creative side and make lasting memories of my family and vacation photos. Eventually, I realized it was a short step, from designing layouts to designing the graphics used in making layouts. In the summer of 2007 I began selling my designs and graphics as Scrappy Cats at Moo Two Designs, Scrapper's Zone and at Scrap Digi Style.
In February, an emergency at one of the stores I sell in brought me back to the web development and software coding skills I used to revel in. It felt so good to puzzle code and develop websites again.
The name Scrappy Cats came from the two cats who own me and make a habit of scrapping right along with me when I work in my craft room. The term scrap is meaningful to them in more than one way as they tend to play a lot of wigglebut, thundering elephants and wrestle games.
